It started in Osaka
A few months ago, I wandered into Den Den Town, Osaka's maze of hobby shops, model stores, and collector heaven. One of those shelves sat an AUTOart Pagani Huayra 1/12. I've always been obsessed with cars and toys, and this one was irresistible. The gullwing doors, the carbon weave, an interior detailed down to the stitching. I carried it home like it was the real thing.
Then I tried buying one in the US
Back home in New Jersey, the experience was the opposite. The same model was listed at wildly different prices. Sellers added surprise shipping and import fees at checkout. Collectors were posting photos of crushed boxes, loose mirrors, and paint flaws they only found after unboxing. A hobby that should feel exciting had turned into a gamble.
So I decided to fix that.
How we do it
AUTOart models are made in China, so that's where my crew is. Before any car ships, they open the box, check the paint, doors, mirrors, and trim. They will photograph and take videos for you at minimal costs as an add on. Then it's packed in layers built to survive the trip, and shipped straight to your door with everything included in the price.
